Sri Vadi, Managing Director
As the Managing Director of The United Solutions Group Inc., Mr. Vadi is the central strategist behind the company’s vision. He brings over 20 years of IT related experience both as a consultant and as a general manager. Mr. Vadi was USG’s principle founder in 2002 and has lead the team in providing consulting strategy and advice to companies nationwide by building personalized software solutions for clients.
Mr. Vadi started his career working as a IT consultant for large Fortune 500 companies. It was in these positions that Mr. Vadi gained first-hand experience working at sites alongside teams of software consultants. In 2002, he started his own consulting company where his vision is to provide technology expertise to clients who want to see their goals executed in a cost-effective manner.
Over the years, with Mr. Vadi’s leadership and direction, USG won several State and Local Government multiyear IT contract awards.
Mr. Vadi was awarded as one of the Philadelphia Business Journal’s 2016 Minority Business Leaders and received a letter of recognition from Pennsylvania U.S. Senator Robert Casey Jr. for his hard work, leadership, and commitment to providing quality IT solutions to clients throughout his career. Most recently, Mr. Vadi has been accepted into the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) Emerging Leaders Class of 2017 program in furtherance of his vision for continued growth of The United Solutions Group Inc.
Mr. Vadi attended Oklahoma City University for his M.S. in Computer Science.
Lara Zelnio, Senior Director
Ms. Zelnio brings more than 20 years of Information Technology experience to The United Solutions Group Inc. in her role as the Senior Director and is also a key strategist behind the company’s vision. Her background in managing the accounts of federal, state, and commercial clients provides USG customers the service expertise they need to run their projects and day to day operations more effectively.
Prior to joining USG, Ms. Zelnio was a Senior Manager for ISS Solutions, a Geisinger Health System company. While there, she served in several roles including the management of the IT Staffing Line of Service, Depot Services, the Technical Assistance Center, IT Product Procurement Sales and the acquisition of new Contact Center Services. Prior to these roles, she also served as the IT Manager for both Infrastructure and Software Acquisition operations.
Before joining ISS Solutions, Ms. Zelnio worked for Computer Maintenance International, a Federal Computer Corporation company, where she oversaw the day to day operations for a nationwide IT hardware maintenance contract with the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Ms. Zelnio earned a B.S. in Business Management from George Mason University and an MBA, with a concentration in Finance, from LaSalle University. Additionally, she holds a Project Management Certification from Penn State University.
Jose Ortiz, HR Director
Mr. Ortiz brings more than 12 years of HR related business management experience to The United Solutions Group Inc. in his role as Human Resources Director and is a key strategist behind the company’s regulatory compliance regarding human resources and HIPAA related activities. His background in employee relations provides USG and its staff the guidance needed to remain in compliance with state, federal and local labor laws.
Prior to joining USG, Mr. Ortiz was a general manager with Perkins Restaurant and Bakery. While there, he served as the general manager handling all aspects of the foodservice industry including customer service, human resources related duties and overall operations of the facility.
Before joining Perkins Restaurant and Bakery, Mr. Ortiz worked for Muller’s Restaurant as the general manager and oversaw the addition of My Place Bar and Grill in addition to his regularly assigned general manager duties.
Mr. Ortiz earned an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice from Northampton Community College, a B.A. from Moravian College in Sociology with a major in Law and Society (prelaw), and a Masters of Legal Studies degree, with a dual concentration in Healthcare Compliance and Human Resources Compliance, from Drexel University Thomas Kline School of Law.
Deborah (Debby) Appel, Corporate Counsel
Ms. Appel brings more than 35 years of experience as an attorney to The United Solutions Group Inc. in her role as the Corporate Counsel. Ms. Appel started working as a GS-1102 contract negotiator for the USAF/ALC a year out of law school and since then has remained active in the Government Contracting arena. For three years she advised Japanese companies on contracting with the US Government while living in Japan. She worked as a contract administrator for three years with Lockheed Martin on the Strategic Defense Initiative contract in Colorado Springs and has spent over 28 years advising and representing contractors in disputes/claims with the Government.
Her practice is now limited to business/corporate law and representing companies that engage in government contracting. She has practiced before the various boards of contract claims and the GAO on disputes over the years. Ms. Appel brings both Commercial and Federal contracting expertise and guidance necessary for USG to help provide the best service to its Commercial, State/Local and Federal clients.
As well as her in-house counsel license for Pennsylvania, she is licensed in several other states. In addition, Ms. Appel is a member of the bars of the Supreme Court of the United States, the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the US Court of Federal Claims and numerous Federal District Courts in both Oklahoma and New York.
Ms. Appel graduated with her JD from the University of Oklahoma in 1981 and holds a Masters Certificate in the Administration of Government Contracts from the University of Phoenix as well.
Lou Lanzilotta, Director of Business Development
As Director of Business Development, Mr. Lanzilotta brings in over 35 years of experience in the Information Technology industry. Mr. Lanzilotta is responsible for the sales strategy of USG. His expertise in the Insurance, Healthcare and Government service markets helps USG to achieve its vision to help companies attain their core missions.
Prior to joining USG, Mr. Lanzilotta co-founded Technical Resources Group, which was eventually sold to Computer Horizon Corporations, a $500 million public firm. After the sale of Technical Resources Group, Mr. Lanzilotta served as VP and General Manager to Pinkerton Computer Consultants, an international Information Technology consulting, outsourcing, and staffing firm. Mr. Lanzilotta helped grow his region from metropolitan Philadelphia to also include Harrisburg, Wilmington and Hartford.
